Senior scientist ? Peptide Synthesis
As Senior scientist at Biotage you will be the R&D ambassador of our peptide synthesis
efforts. Besides being a part of the R&D development team you will work closely to
marketing, sales and external contacts - mainly customers and vendors but also people in
other scientific collaborations. The position will be hands on lab based and require
thorough knowledge of modern peptide synthesis methods and a good working
knowledge of analytical instrumentation including analytical methods for peptides.
Key responsibilities are:
• Turn customer demands into technical requirements for development projects
• Act as the internal customer during development projects
• Provide application data and posters that supports our products
• Explore new applications based on state-of-the-art literature methods
• Provide technical support for peptide synthesis customers
• Support the marketing and sales organisation with comparative data on competitor
products
• Interact with academic groups
• Attend scientific meetings to present posters and give oral presentations
The job requires:
• PhD relevant to solid phase peptide synthesis
• A minimum of five years hands on experience of working with peptide chemistry
analysis and characterization
• Hands on experience from working with instrumentation for organic synthesis and
analysis
• Industrial experience is preferred
• Experience of working in an international environment
• Fluent in English
