You will be part of an invested and kind team in an international and multicultural environment and within a department preparing our future challenges in the SAP area.
The SAP Architecture team (Approx. 10 SAP Architects all over the world) looks for a Senior SAP Application Infrastructure Architect located in Goteborg (Sweden) or Lyon (France) in order to support our next challenge: the move towards the new SAP solutions like S/4HANA / BW/4HANA / SAP SaaS solutions and Agile / DevOps / Cloud (IaaS/PaaS). You will work within the SAP Center of Excellence (CoE) which is part of Volvo Group IT - organization in charge of managing IT activities for the Volvo Group. Our IT consultants take part in global missions inside the Volvo Group, creating added value for business through SAP Tech Watch, Solution's implementation, Maintenance activities, standardization.
Within Volvo Group IT, we operate more than 40 different SAP productive instances, several SAP cloud solutions, and we use innovative solutions like IoT-Leonardo, CPI , SAC.
More than 400 employees and contractors located in Sweden, France, India, Poland, US work in the SAP area.
We have a very close collaboration with SAP and are ACCOE certified and SAP MaxAttention customer for more than 10 years.
In your role, you will interact with our Infrastructure Service Provider (HCL), with Volvo Group Infrastructure Architecture team and Volvo Infrastructure Service Management (IOS) to develop and enhance the SAP Application Hosting Services delivered to Volvo.
Your Mission:
Your focus will be on SAP Infrastructure Solutions and secure they are configured and deployed according to IT and Security directives and policies within Volvo.
Your first principal mission will be Technology Watch, drive Proof of Concept initiatives and pre-studies:
Active contribution to incoming pre-studies on strategic SAP innovation projects (S/4HANA transformation projects mainly)
Propose and drive technology watch activities on SAP new solutions & technologies: SAP SaaS, SAP digital transformation (S/4HANA transition, SCP offering, Cloud MS-Azure ... )
Build and perform presentations of "SAP news" to global communities and SAP solution's responsible of Volvo Group (Business and IT)
Create/enhance SAP implementation standards for Volvo
You second principal mission will be to work on projects and maintenance as technical IT Architect with infrastructure focus:
You will be responsible for the design of SAP application infrastructure following SAP best practices, roadmap and Volvo Group architectural frameworks
You must combine and match business needs with SAP solutions, as part of a project team
You will participate in reviews of architecture concepts and solutions within the SAP community
You will secure that SAP solutions comply to Volvo Cybersecurity directives and policies
You will contribute to Steering Committees when required
You will drive and follow up on deliveries provided by an infrastructure service provider (HCL), including validation of infrastructure solutions for new projects and run-time changes
In cooperation with the Service Area Leader in IOS (Infrastructure and On-site Services) you will drive development and enhancement for the SAP Application Hosting Service and related product roadmaps
Build understanding of infrastructure architecture in project and maintenance teams
Who Are You
Graduated with a master's degree or an engineer school in IT, you have at least 8 years of experience as an SAP infra Architect and/or SAP Netweaver administration
Prior experience with ECC 6.0, PI 7.5, Solution Manager 7.2, GRC, SAP HANA DB and S/4HANA
Experience with global deployment of SAP and corresponding operations aspect
Experience with cloud infrastructure architecture is a plus, MS-Azure and SAP Cloud Platform
Strong knowledge/experience working in an agile environment
Good understanding of architecture principles. You can define and manage landscape design for SAP solutions
You have understanding and experience with Cybersecurity concepts and standards
Solid experience in large cross-functional teams and flexibility to influence people at management levels
Strong written and verbal communications, with proven experience in delivering management briefings
Extensive and proven experience working with third party service delivery organizations
A strong industry focus to understand the introduction of new SAP technologies and their possible impact to the company's IT infrastructure
You must speak English fluently
Some travels are required abroad occasionally.
