In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Group Payments & Accounts, Lending, Cards and Group Savings, Investment & Advice's regulatory and operational risk oversight, control and interaction framework.
• Strategic short and long-term regulatory and operational risk oversight planning and management. In collaboration with senior management, set strategy, direction, methodology, policies, and guidelines for regulatory activities including establishing administrative procedures to ensure adherence to policies.
• Maintain and develop risk management knowledge to serve as a subject matter expert and central point of contact for risk management advice and interact with regulators as needed to provide information and responses.
• Advice, train and support managers and employees in risk management and non-financial business risk matters to increase risk awareness.
• Act as a project manager and/or participate in projects, task forces and working groups representing Group Products and Advice on specific risk topics.
• Provide support to regulatory, compliance and operational risk projects and initiatives including project management, thought leadership, and identification and resolution of potential issues.
• Participate in Group Payments & Accounts, Lending, Cards and Group Savings, Investment & Advice's response to regulatory examinations (internal and external audit, governmental organisations) and provide expertise, consultation, and advice to business units during examinations and audits. Ensure the implementation of findings and recommendations and provide support to business on risk management and regulatory matters. Develop strong working partnerships with examiners.
What is needed in this role:
• Degree in business, finance, law or other related fields
• A masters degree is a plus
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements such as MiFID II, IDD, GDPR, AML, UCITS, CRR, CRD IV, MCD, CCD etc.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentational, and interpersonal communication skills
• A team player
• Executive presence and ability to influence at all levels across the organization
• Strong business, process and product knowledge within the areas of Payments & Accounts, Lending, Cards and/or Savings
• Highly motivated individual with outstanding record of professional achievement
• Insights of Operational Risk Management and financial services regulatory landscape, and demonstrated experience in applying insights into product governance design
• Experience from managerial roles a plus
