In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:
• Contribute in further developing the first line of defence function for the market risks in the banking book
• Perform periodic and ad hoc reviews of the market risk limits and of the underlying limits framework
• Perform periodic risk materiality assessments, analyse and explain developments in market risk positions
• Provide analytical support to Group Treasury Front Office to enable optimal positioning for market risk hedging
• Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant market risk policies and regulatory requirements
• Identify potential risk control gaps and effectively develop and deploy plans for addressing them
• Facilitate effective communication with the Risk organisation and proactively set requirements for the risk reporting and methodology changes
• Update, document and formalise key risk processes and frameworks
• Drive improvement initiatives for risk processes and reporting and contribute in developing the market risk analytical tools
• Review risk methodologies and models and propose improvements in risk measurement.
What is needed in this role:
• More than 5 years of experience working with the Asset & Liability Management, Market Risk (banking book or trading book), IRRBB, Counterpart Credit Risk, etc.
• Strong academic background with a Master's degree in a relevant field, e.g. Economics, Finance, Engineering or Mathematics
• Strong analytical skills and a good working knowledge of the bank's balance sheet, income statements, market risk and relevant regulations
• Ability to carry out tasks with limited guidance and with a strong drive for continuous improvement
• Able to focus on the big picture and explain complex matters in a simple and comprehensible way
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with relevant analytical tools or programming (i.e. Focus ALM, QRM, Algorithmics, SQL, SAS, etc.) would be appreciated
• Excellent communication skills in English

be a part of a dynamic team focusing on providing value adding advice to senior management and other internal stakeholders for optimizing the balance sheet structure of the bank. The Balance Sheet Strategy and Analytics team, part of the Risk Analytics team in Group Treasury, focuses mainly on monitoring and managing the market risks in the banking book (i.e. primarily interest rate and FX risks) and providing analytics to support the funding planning of the bank. Our activities are to a large extent ad hoc and span across different areas such as risk identification and measurement, risk management, regulations, internal steering, etc. which creates a good platform for furthering your career within Treasury or Risk organisation".
