Are you interested in how the sharing and collaboration of open data and open source software can enhance open innovation within the private and public sector? Do you want to work with exciting applied research projects to explore how such sharing and collaboration can improve the future of mobility? Then RISE Mobility and Systems has an interesting job for you!

We are now looking for a senior researcher with a devoted interest in the topic of sharing and collaboration of open data and open source software, location in Lund, with projects also in other parts of Sweden.

We are looking to expand our research activities in our existing industrial ecosystem, as well as widen it with new partners, and increase cooperation with universities and institutes that focus on digitalization, societal impact and future mobility.

About us
Digital Innovation is a unit within Mobility and Systems with a mission to perform research and apply knowledge to address societal challenges using digital innovation as unit of analysis. Our research aims to, early on, identify and explore possibilities in and effects from digital technologies, to provide guidance on how digitalization can create value for agencies, industries and society, with a focus on but not limited to mobility and transportation. The forward-looking research is organised in five research areas: 1) Digital innovation and organization, 2) novel technologies, 3) services and business models, 4) open data and platforms, and 5) strategy. Results are disseminated directly to our partners as well as through applied projects, demonstrators, and public and scientific publications. We are currently 15 researchers in the unit located in Umeå, Kista, Lindholmen and Lund that explore different research topics anchored in one or several of the five research areas.

A requirement for this position is that you will and are able to strengthen both the internal RISE network of open data experts, and contribute to establishing RISE as a renowned data-driven innovation partner for the industry and public agencies.

Initially the candidate is expected to participate and contribute to applied research focused on open digital innovation, aiming to build new knowledge about how new technologies can improve and make such systems even more effective and efficient, and in parallel, contribute to the creation of applications for external funding of new projects within this domain
