The campus at Kungsbäck in Gävle offers a beautiful study and research environment with all departments gathered in one place which is only a few minutes from the city centre. HiG is located in a scenic area with Gävle River and the Boulogner Forest as its closest neighbours. The carefully re-built regiment barracks have created a gathered campus where the distance between students, teachers and researchers is close.

The employment is connected to the subject area of Industrial engineering and management and the research group CLIP - Centre for logistics and innovative production. The position includes research and education within the area of sustainability management. The research focuses on analysis of strategies for sustainability implementation and methods for assessing, facilitating change, and institutionalizing sustainability in organizations. The researcher is expected to initiate, manage and conduct research and to apply for research funding, in collaboration with colleagues and external stakeholders.
The position further embraces teaching, supervision and management of courses as well as active participation in development of courses and programs on basic, advanced and doctoral level. Administrative tasks may also be included. Teaching languages are Swedish and English.
KvalifikationerAn eligible applicant for the position should have a doctoral degree within the area of sustainability management or similar. After the dissertation the applicant have continued research within the area and produced scientific publications to at least the same extent and quality that is required for the doctoral degree. The applicant should have documented pedagogical skills and experiences of teaching and supervising students on master level and doctoral level. The applicant should be able to express himself/herself well in English.
The prime evaluation criteria for the position concerns the applicant's ability to initiate, conduct and manage research of good scientific quality which is mainly shown by publishing in internationally well-recognized scientific journals within the area of sustainability management. A second level criterion concerns the applicant's skills and experiences of teaching and supervising doctoral students as well as to develop courses and teaching programs on master and doctoral level. A third criterion is the applicant's ability to apply and receive research grants from external research funds. Similarly important is the applicant's ability to collaborate with international researchers and institutions, and to collaborate and inform public and non-academic stakeholders about the research.
