On behalf of one of our clients we are currently looking for a Senior Research Scientist for work with animal models within Neurology for a temporary assignment. This is an exciting role in the Neuroscience department where all possible aspects of the bioscience of the brain are studied in order to be able to make the medicines of tomorrow. The assignment, which is full-time, will start immediately and continue for six months.

Publiceringsdatum2011-09-19Dina arbetsuppgifterAs a Senior Research Scientist in the In Vivo Neurology team you will be responsible for designing and performing pharmacological studies in animal models of Alzheimer' disease. You will work with colleagues in the whole department to ensure that goals are met.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
We want you to have a PhD in Neurobiology / Pharmacology or related discipline and preferably two years post-doctoral experience. We require someone who has worked with In Vivo rodent models and who has a solid background in neuroanatomy, animal handling and In Vivo technical skills, including different drug dosing paradigms, brain dissection and tissue preparation. Furthermore, god communication skills are essential.
Preferably, you have a strong scientific research background in Alzheimer's disease mechanisms and experience from working in teams. Drug discovery experience in the pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry is also an advantage.
As a person you are highly motivated with the ability to interact and work effectively in a team-based environment. You are also flexible and can switch tasks on short notice.
