For our client, a pharmaceutical company in Mölndal, we are looking for a Senior Research Scientist for an assignment at the in vitro Bioscience department. Preferred starting date is as soon as possible for this assignment, with a duration of one year with possibility for extension.

Publiceringsdatum2013-03-21Dina arbetsuppgifterYou will be working as a Senior Research Scientist in vitro Bioscience at the iMed CVGI department. The Metabolism-section within iMed CVGI Bioscience focuses on the discovery and preclinical development of new drugs for treating type 2-diabetes and it's complications. You will be part of a team of scientists working with different projects and questions related to type 2-diabetes. The team is focused on different in vitro techniques and collaborates closely with other in vitro- and in vivo teams within Bioscience. You will work with one or more projects in collaboration with other scientists in the section.
You will be working with metabolic disease including:
• primary cells/tissue cultures
• transduction of cells using viral techniques
• immunohistochemistry
Utbildning/erfarenhet
You have a PhD or 5 years of experience from laboratory work within a relevant area and thorough knowledge and experience of culturing mammalian cells. You have a solid knowledge of standard techniques for the analysis of gene expression at the RNA and protein level, the ability to independently plan, perform, analyse and interpret the work and strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience of metabolic disease, cells/tissue cultures, transduction of cells using viral techniques and immunohistochemistry is an advantage.
