www.medivir.se.Dina arbetsuppgifterWe are seeking a computational chemist to assist in providing modelling and chemoinfomatic support to our drug discovery programs. You will be part of a department which hosts scientists with key skills in computational chemistry, modelling, chemoinformatics and X-ray crystallography and with access to an extensive range of state-of-the-art software tools and modern hardware including a linux cluster. Good communication skills and a strong capability to work independently as part of multidisciplinary project teams and in particular to collaborate with ADME scientists, project chemists, and in-house X-ray crystallographers, will be essential.
Utbildning och erfarenhetThe successful candidate will be competent in a range of modelling techniques, and have an understanding of basic organic chemistry, and a PhD or equivalent in a relevant area. Experience from drug discovery in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in the protease inhibitor field, and interests in chemoinformatics, QSAR or ADME modelling would be added advantages.
