In order to speed up the development of the carbohydrate-based products in the company’s pipeline, AbSorber is seeking a molecular glycoimmunologist with extensive experience in stable glycoengineering of various host cells, characterization of recombinant heavily glycosylated glycoproteins and their assessment as substrates/adsorbents in immune assays/adsorption columns. Familiarity with molecular biology techniques such as subcloning, construction of expression vectors, transient and stable transfections is required as is a good knowledge in the use of immunological methods to assess carbohydrate-specific antibody titers/classes. Insight into the biosynthetic pathways of O-glycan biosynthesis as well as experience of simultaneous transfection with multiplegene constructs is an advantage. The successful candidate should also have a good knowledge in the transplantation, including xenotransplantation, medicine fields, and should therefore have a combined M.D./Ph.D degree. You should have the ability to work and communicate in English.
