Your Responsibilities
What you 'll do:
* design and synthesize on-DNA compounds while also contributing to the continuous improvement of the DEL synthesis platform by evaluating new cutting edge synthetic approaches for on-DNA chemistry.
* play a key role in validating new building blocks, extending the implementation of synthesis automation and in contributing to the improvement of our building blocks database.
* troubleshoot laboratory-based problems and make a significant contribution to the delivery of the team.
* maintain access to the best internal and external science and enhance business reputation internally and externally through peer-reviewed publications and oral/poster presentations

Our spectacular campus in Gothenburg is one of AstraZeneca 's three strategic science centers. The site is home to over 2,500 employees, from over 50 different nationalities. Gothenburg includes the complete range of functions, and as such offers plenty of development opportunities for a wide range of professionals. The site itself is designed with collaboration in mind: from the Coffee Lab to the gym, we have built a series of environments where innovation can happen.
This position is a 1 year consulting assignment. You will be employed by TNG during this time.
Our Expectations
You 're a chemist with a track record of applying innovative chemistry solutions, with resulting impact in project delivery. You also have:
* Ph.D. in a relevant chemistry discipline, or a Master degree in chemistry with minimum 5 years ' experience in synthetic organic chemistry.
* Expertise in synthetic organic chemistry, retrosynthesis, compound route design, purification and analysis.
* Knowledge of basic molecular biology techniques e.g gel electrophoresis, DNA ligation, PCR.
* Advanced knowledge of modern chemical literature, chemical technologies and applying new ideas to project delivery.
* A track record of driving innovation in chemistry related sciences
