We are looking for a person to strengthen our team in Lund, in managing our local projects and regional partners.

We want to expand our group with more cooperation both with regional universities as well as the local industrial ecosystem.

Our team in Lund is at the forefront of software engineering research and development. We work with topics on connected software- and data-intensive systems; examples of topics are the safety of AI/ML, open data, quality assurance, trusted execution, IoT security, empirical software engineering, among others. We perform applied research, technology transfer, and innovation through the deployment of new services and products. The results are disseminated through our partnership as well as through testbeds, demonstrators, and scientific publications.

About the position
As a Senior Research Project Manager at RISE you will be leading, and working with, a range of different research and development projects. Your work will include, among many other things:

- Manage the projects in Lund, containing a mix of publicly funded projects, direct assignments with industry, and support projects
- Innovation, proposal and creation of new research topics and fields
- Leading and participating in Grant application projects and initiatives
- Creating, leading, and maintaining both Swedish and International Consortia and Networks
- Propose and implement state-of the art tailored project management methods, suitable for each individual project
- Project Management activities such as resource planning, budget planning, project planning & execution, follow-up and reporting, etc
- Leading and coaching the project team
- Financial follow-up and forecasting

Who are you?
We are looking for a new colleague who is passionate about Project Management and Business Development. You should have an academic degree such as MSc or similar, in a relevant technical area. We will be looking for some, but not necessarily all, of the following competences and experiences:

- Documented Experience in leading Research Projects and applying for funding
- Strong background in software engineering and/or data science
- Strong Leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Good ability to plan your own work
- Good ability to report results in writing and oral presentations
- Experience from leading international research projects, such as EU funded projects, will be a plus
