SEI is an independent, international research institute founded in 1989. Its mission is to support decision-making and induce change towards sustainable development around the world by providing integrative knowledge that bridges science and policy in the field of environment and development. SEI is ranked as the 2nd most influential environment think tank in the world in the Global Go To Think Tank Report, compiled by the University of Pennsylvania's Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program.

SEI is now recruiting an entrepreneurial and motivated senior colleague with an extensive experience in sustainable consumption/sustainable lifestyles.

The successful candidate will have research background and be an experienced project manager/coordinator. The candidate should hold a PhD in a relevant field and be devoted to continuing building a research portfolio on sustainable consumption and lifestyles at SEI. The candidate should also have solid experience from managing complex projects and from coordination of multi-stakeholder dialogue platforms (including various stakeholders such as business, NGOs, policy makers, academia). The candidate should have strong skills in project administration, reporting and communication.
Relevant background could include international (EU, UN) agencies, think tanks, consulting, business and/or relevant regulatory or government agencies.

The candidate is expected to work in a team environment and independently in a flexible and exciting global project management environment. International and national travels are included as part of this position.
