Electromobility Sub-system team is seeking an energy storage systems (ESS) expert to strengthen our battery team.

We are a global team of dedicated experts that are responsible for research and early development of new technologies within the areas of hybrid electric powertrains, electrical energy storage systems, electric machines and drives and vehicle charging technology. The group runs and participates in a wide range of projects with long-term goals.

Core Responsibilities
• Conduct research and advanced engineering activities within field of ESS
• Implement, refine, and customize diagnostic and analytical methods for characterization of cells, batteries and systems
• Contributes to building up ESS area
• Drive technology development projects and concepts within the area
• Contribute to secure the technology readiness level TRL4/TRL6
• Secure transfer of technologies to product development

Requirements
• M.Sc. or PhD Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• Experienced in the analysis and design of battery components and systems
• Strong engineering & scientific judgment and practical approach to technology
• Experience in test planning, laboratory experimentation, and data analysis
• Understanding of the battery technologies within the application of hybrid electric vehicles
• Fluency in Swedish or English language

Strong preference will be given to candidates with PhD degrees where a working knowledge of electrochemistry was developed and used to complete the candidate's degree program. The preference will be given to candidates possessing experience in leading companies that have commercialized Li-Ion battery technology.
