hela Sverige We are looking for a Senior Research Engineer to the Systems section within the Purification&Analysis R&D Department. You will, as part of a team, be responsible for delivering new products to the market.
The department consists of approximately 80 people divided into eight sections, and is responsible for research and development of hardware, software and system specific consumables for Biacore and ÄKTA systems. The Systems section is responsible for user and system requirements, system performance, verification and user experience.
The mission of R&D is to provide a steady stream of new products to meet and solve the challenges of our customers. Software is an essential part of our product offering hence there will be a lot of focus on digital solutions and strategies. This role includes product development activities as well as line activities. You will work in a multidisciplinary surrounding closely with software and hardware engineers and application specialists, representing the view of the customer. The work is conducted in an Agile way in dedicated Scrum teams with a strong focus on user experience, reliability and quality.
Job duties:
In this role you will:
• As part of a team, plan and deliver the team's commitments
• Play an innovative and creative role in identifying and evaluating new product opportunities, both hardware and software
• Define system requirements and how to verify/validate them
• Plan, perform and report verification/validation of system requirements
• Support UX-work and perform user tests
• Plan and perform software tests
• Lead activities in different forums
• Perform laboratory investigations during product development - on your own or as a team - through planning, execution and analysis of results
• Present, both orally and in writing, results and conclusions from studies performed
• Continuously improve our ways of working
Deliver new product to the market and our customers will be your main focus.
Qualifications:
• Master?s degree from relevant engineering discipline, e.g Mol Biotechnology, Physics, Computer Science
• Considerable years within product development, preferably system or software products
• Experience of system and software specification, verification and validation
• Knowledge and experience of project models, preferably PRD, Agile and SAFe
• Knowledge and experience of requirement and test management systems such as HP ALM
• Demonstrated problem solving ability with proven analytical skills
• Great interest in user experience aspects and system and software workflows
• Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken)
• Demonstrated ability to deliver according to deadlines
• Structured and organized team player with good interpersonal skills
• Swedish and English as working languages

• Experience of working with TDD and BDD
• Experience from work in multidisciplinary environments
• Experience from large projects
• Team/activity leader experience
• Knowledge of the Purification&Analysis product portfolio and customer group
• Knowledge & experience of biophysical and/or biochemical applications
