We are looking for a reliable Corporate Accounting Manager who will lead the work on exit-TSA for Nordic as well as help with day-to-day accounting activities in all four Nordic markets (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland) in which the business operates with local organizations and legal entities on the ground.
Accounting services will initially be partly provided by former owner under a Transition Service Agreement (TSA) - set to expire at July 1 2017. Your role will primarily be focused on establishsing and leading the exit-TSA work for the finance work-stream, including setup of Limited Risk Distributor (LRD) business model, Accounts Payable integration and setup, managed accounts by former owner integration into new owner's systems, bank account reconicliation automation, rationalization of bank accounts, et.c.
Responsibilities:
Lead the exit-TSA work for the finance work-stream.
Lead LRD design setup from current commissionaire structure
Lead integration of Accounts Payable work-stream into new owner's system and organization structure; setup process, optimize, liaise with service center contacts in Warsaw, train local organization on setup, et.c.
Lead integration of Managed Accounts by former owner into custodian activity at TSA exit
Lead integration of bank accounts reconciliation automation / bank accounts optimization
Lead process improvements and optimize outsourced accounting services of the business in Nordics.
Support the Senior Corporate Accounting Manager in maintaining strong accounting controls locally; define accounting policies and procedures and enforce proper accounting methods.
Guide other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy; applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.
Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
Avoid legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation; enforcing accounting regulations; recommending new procedures.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
In the medium term, the candidate is expected to lead the integration of accounting services initially provided by former owner into one integrated accounting solution and operation
Requirements:
BS or Master degree in Accounting or Finance
Proven working experience as Senior Accounting Manager (min 3 years) or at an accounting firm
Ability to direct and supervise own organization and third party service providers
Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
High attention to detail and accuracy
