hela Sverige Northvolt has an exciting job offer as a Senior Purchasing Specialist to join our passionate Supply Chain team in Skellefteå
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• To Support the site with purchasing activities including finding the right suppliers, identifying, and consolidating needs.
• To be an active participant in the contracting strategy and to manage and prepare local contracts and agreements in accordance with such strategy.
• To participate in reoccurring business reviews to keep updated on market development and raise awareness of any potential supply problems that risk impacting operations.
• To monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers.
• To be responsible for the local supplier development together with the category responsible.
• To actively track spend and look for opportunity to optimize the cost where possible using best practices.
• To perform supplier evaluations and performance reviews to ensure compliance and improve supplier performance and supplier development.
• Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures
• To be the point of contact to local suppliers and resole questions and questions related to contractual terms.
• To work collaboratively and negotiate and engage with stakeholders and suppliers regarding new projects, supplies and initiatives.
• Create purchase orders for purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery target
Education/experience
Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred
Working experience of more than 3 years in prefered
Fluency in Swedish and English is required
Experience in working with local suppliers is preferred
Experience and interest in the manufacturing industry is a plus
Specific skills/Abilities
Highly organized and has an eye for detail
Exceptionally good problem-solving skills
Can do attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit
