You have a chance to thrive and excel as our new Senior Purchasing Manager and you'll be the one who leads the development and changes of the Global Procurement Propulsion.
What you'll do?
The group you will lead is a team of 10 talented purchasers. We have a highly open and energetic work environment where we support each other and continuously strive for improvement and welcome new and creative ideas. Our focus is mainly within propulsion energy management systems, such as engine installation, fuel system, air intake system and also charging and DC/DC for electrified cars. We collaborate in a global surrounding with major stakeholders such as Research and Development, Manufacturing Engineering, SQM, After Market and Design to manage sourcing activities, supplier- and market-spend analysis and contract management in the best possible way. In this role you will have the opportunity to get involved in earlier phases of product development and impact the solutions in the area of propulsion.
Your main tasks will include:
* Team deliveries in accordance with procurement priorities, targets and business plan
* Development, support and coaching both, individual employees and the team
* Manning responsibility for the group, such as competence development and career planning, recruitment and onboarding, salary settings.
* Responsibility for supplier base and strategy development
* Cooperation with internal as well as external contacts on global level
Do you fit the profile?
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have an engineering background or equivalent professional working experience. You have extensive leadership experience, work life experience from positions where negotiations and customer/ supplier contact is a common task and you are proficient in English, both spoken and written. You have at least ten years of working experience out of which 5 on similar leading purchasing positons. Automotive industry is a known territory for you and you are willing to work and travel globally.
