Tool purchasing is of utmost importance due to high initial investment for tools and high impact on our production performance.
As Senior Purchaser we are offering you the opportunity to work in an interesting position in the plastic automotive industry. Your main responsibilities is to ensure suppliers commitment to Plastal's needs in terms of quality, delivery, commercial conditions and performance in the projects.
Main tasks:
• Source, secure performance, negotiations and participate in closing agreements
• Monitor tool progress and handle changes in the projects
• Follow technical development within injection moulding tools and contribute with front edge competence to the organization
• Participation in tool reviews, trial runs and concept development
• Report project progress to different APQP teams
We are looking for a person with five to ten years of experience from injection moulding tool work or tool purchasing in the automotive plastic industry. You will be working in an international business environment and your traveling area will mostly be in Europe. It is important that you have international purchasing experience and a strong interest in tool technology. Your educational background are at least three years of technical upper secondary school or related discipline or equivalent experience. Personal characteristics looked for are ability to build business relationships, troubleshooter, structured approach, initiative and a clear focus on delivering results. You have good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swedish. We appreciate skills in German. We expect that you have experience from common PDM systems.
