Our task at Indirect Purchasing is to support, but also to challenge, the stakeholders in Consumer & Enterprise Digital on the digital journey the company has embarked. Scope
As Senior Purchaser Digital you will play an important role in ensuring a close relationship with our internal stakeholders and a successful relationship with our IT suppliers in order to create best value for Volvo Car Group. Digital transformation is a strategically important area for Volvo Cars and you will work in the forefront of our company in a creative and dynamic cross-functional environment to create and implement innovative services and offerings for internal and external use
What you'll do
One of your key task is to prepare and effectuate Request for Information and Request for Quotation in close collaboration with stakeholders
You will lead commercial and contractual negotiations with global suppliers, assume supplier responsibility for selected suppliers and drive contract management and supplier governance.
Your responsibility is to execute and support market-, supplier- and spend analysis find cost saving opportunities and drive the initiatives forward.
You will develop and implement commodity- and supplier strategies, support stakeholders with professional knowledge, experience and skills how to obtain best possible sourcing solution
Reviewing purchase requisitions and placing orders will also be part of your tasks.
You and your skills
You have university degree or equivalent professional experience in the relevant area and a solid understanding of the legal aspects in a contract.
You are fluent in English (written and spoken), have ability to travel internationally and have excellent skills in MS Office.
Preferably, you have experience from development, operations, management and/or purchasing in one or several IT areas: Software, Cloud solutions and Services. Alternative, a solid purchasing experience in other industries than IT is also highly relevant for this position.
You are experienced in having to cooperative with different internal stakeholders. You are also a star when it comes to negotiating, both commercial and contractual in a global environment.
On a personal level
To succeed in this role you need to be self-motivated, professional and have integrity. You are a true team player - gives and asks for support - and like to work with agile work methods concerning planning and execution of work tasks.
Since you have many contacts with different stakeholders, it is important that you have good communications skills. You should be business and performance driven and have a positive mind-set. Lastly, you have an analytical and creative personality and love to use this in your daily tasks.
