Plastic granulate and paint are the largest purchasing categories and of most importance due to their impact on the production performance and the cost level.
As Senior Purchaser we are offering you the opportunity to work in an interesting position in the plastic automotive industry. Your main responsibilities is to ensure suppliers commitment to Plastal's needs in terms of quality, delivery, commercial conditions and performance in the projects.
Main tasks:
• Source, secure performance, negotiations and close agreements with suppliers
• Follow the technical development within plastics and paint and contribute with front edge competence to the organization
• Participate in the projects by making material choices in cooperation with the Engineering department to secure acceptable technical material solutions and a commercial approach
• Drive material changes together with the production plants
We are looking for a person with at least five years experience from purchasing of chemical products or in the Automotive plastic industry. It is important that you have excellent negotiations skills, international purchasing experience and a strong interest in building business relationships. You will be working in an international business environment and your traveling area will mostly be in Europe. You have a Master of Science degree in Chemistry Engineering or documented equivalent experience. Personal characteristics looked for are ability to build business relationships, structured approach, initiative and a clear focus on delivering results. You have good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swedish.
