Assignment Description:
Contribute to the geometry assurance work through creation of, reviewing of and approval of measurement drawings for single parts, delivery units, in-house subassemblies, subsystems and for complete vehicle.
Review geometry systems and judge the possibility to measure based on tool set-up and environment.
Drive discussions with geometry assurance engineers, dimensional management and perceived quality regarding measurement sections and give feedback on possible ways of verifying stated final demands.
Participate in planning activities and provide weekly status reports.
Make the RPS and Tolerancing for single parts and in-house assembly's.
Give input to the Tolerancing from a Manufacturing point of view and approve the requirements from ME side.
Participate in engineering meetings.
Support the Matching process, give input to resolutions and keep track on all related issues.
a-way Consulting are looking for a Senior Propulsion engineer with experience of complete powertrain optimizations as well as the subsystems optimization (e.g engine, transmission or hybrid systems). Experience of hybrid interaction for the different propulsion subsystems is highly valued.
Role:
In the role as Propulsion Engineer you will work at the client's site and support the business development team to establish the calibration and optimization team within a-way Consulting. Depending on your experience, competence and personality, you can take on a technical lead role in this area within the company.
• Planning and execution for the optimization of an engine or vehicle development program
• Calibration dataset development in-line with client required attribute targets (e.g driveability, exhaust emissions etc.)
• Dataset validation and optimization for all ambient conditions both in facility environment and in actual environments
• Analysis of results and reporting to various functions within the client organisation
• Interact and support the a-way consulting management to increase the propulsion calibration team
• Support a-way sales team to secure new business opportunities
Required experience and/or knowledge:
• BSc, MSc or PhD in Mechanical/Automotive/Mathematic or related Engineering discipline
• Experience within the automotive industry
• Good knowledge of Matlab and Simulink
• Good knowledge of Combustion engine fundamentals
• Good working knowledge of Engine Mangement Systems (EMS) and related tools and software
• Excellent communication skills as well as an positive attitude and high social skills
• Proven project management skills
• Capable of working independently as well as part of large and small teams
• Driving License (for Europe)
