We are now looking for a Senior Project Manager to our Energy, Recovery and Environmental Service team in Gothenburg.
Our main focus are upgrades and services of power and recovery boilers. We are also working with evaporation plants, lime kilns and flue gas cleaning. The project values are normally between 0,2 and 5 MEUR and projects are typically executed within 6-12 months. Our services help our clients shape a more sustainable world.
Besides executing our projects, you may also be responsible for long term service agreements for a selected client. Agreements typically includes process evaluations of the plant and yearly inspections.
As Senior Project Manager you also support the sales team during the sales phase in larger projects. Reviewing project budget, proposed contract and participate in meetings with customer during final negotiations is also included in the role.
We have clients all over the world and the work involves cooperation with our Project Execution teams globally. Shorter travels to customer sites, mainly in Sweden and Europe, is also expected from you.
Who are you?
As our new Senior Project Manager you are the spider in the net, with your excellent communication skills you are driving the project forward together with the project team. You are used to have technical and financial responsibility for your projects and to report continuously to management. It is natural for you to keep regular contacts with suppliers and most important with your service minded attitude, delivery on time with good quality to the client is always your top priority.
To enjoy and be successful as our new Senior Project Manager, we see that you have at least 5 years experience from industrial project execution. Experience from rebuild projects within pulp, power or process industry is highly valued.
We see that you have a Master/Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent. Of course, you are fluent in both Swedish and English and are used to the different MS Office tools to handle the administration and documentation in your daily work. Project management certification like IPMA or PMP is meriting.
We offer
As Senior Project Manager at Valmet you will have the opportunity to execute complex projects together with a very qualified project team. The projects have relatively short execution time and within a year you have most often taken the project from the engineering phase to finalized installation at the client. This is very rewarding with the position, but also means you need to react swiftly to find solutions and make decisions on possible challenges during the project.
Today we are at Lindholmen but will from January 2024 relocate to a new office close to Gothenburg main station. This will provide excellent possibilities for communication both with public transport and car. We also house our own workshop in Torslanda. Approximately 270 people are working within the Gothenburg organization.
