We are currently looking to recruit two Senior Project Managers for our location in Stockholm. This position can be based also in the following locations: Pittsburgh, Bangkok, Rome, Madrid or Brasil.
Purpose of the job:
In this role you should be able to join projects or bid works that need support from RCS Project Management hub function. The types of projects are mainly, but not limited to signaling projects. The scope of projects could be wider than signaling as the project might be in a form of consortium which may include civil work and telecom sub-projects as well.
In this role it is particularly important to be mobile and be able to visit our project sites and temporarily relocate to our global offices. This role requires the ability to quickly understand the scope of project, understand the project team environment, identify the root causes of issues and harmonize the project team actions to stabilize the project situation. Ability to learn technical matter quickly at the right level and ability to analyze why individuals, teams or external partners act in a certain way is key to define the right corrective actions in this role.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the Project Core Team members in the successful completion of their assigned tasks to the required quality within schedule, allocated budgets and scope
• Apply BT Project Management Processes and tools including WBS, Detailed Project Schedule, Customer Interface, Risk & Opportunity Management, Project Improvement Management, Project Launch (including the Orange Book), Change Management and Contractual Obligation Management, Budget allocation and monitoring, Project Reporting and financial performance
• Define and secure the support of the business partners and extended project team
• Adapt the allocation of work packages between the roles and the day-to-day delegation of special tasks to the Core Team members in order to optimize the total project.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Business/ Management or Major in Engineering with Minor in Business
• Minimum 7 years project management experience with medium and large size projects
• PMI/ IPMA/ Prince2 qualification desired
• Familiar with project planning and project financial control
• Experience in change management and transformation of teams and organizations
• Leadership skills required and high learning ability to understand complex technical issues.
• Creative problem solving for critical projects/ crisis situations
• English fluency is required; any other international language is considered an advantage
