On behalf of Hanley Energy, Ireland, we are searching for a Senior Project Manager to manage three major power installation projects at three data centre sites for a global data centre provider in central Sweden.
The position is a permanent employment, which for the right candidate will develop along with Hanley's establishment in Sweden. As the projects are finalized, the role will transition into a manager role with full responsibility for servicing ongoing operations in Sweden.
Work description
Hanley Energy is an Irish company which have been awarded the contract to handle the power installations of three data centre sites, which are currently being established in central Sweden for a global data centre provider.
These installations will be run in parallel and the senior project manager will be fully responsible for managing the work involved on a daily basis. You will be leading a small, but efficient installation team, and coordinate all their activities to meet set deadlines. You will also coordinate support from the Hanley Energy core team in Ireland when needed.
As this is a part of a larger project run by the customer , there will be a lot of cooperation with external stakeholders, such as other subcontractors and the client.
Handling the complete installation process includes tasks like:
- Coordinate subcontracting of relevant jobs
- Manage daily installation work by team according to delivery plan
- Communicate with central Hanley team as well as receiving client
- Provide documentation of the installation
- Secure commissioning and handover to client
The position will be located at the new Hanley office in Eskilstuna, but requires high attendance at all three work sites, which means that you will have daily travel within the region.
You will be reporting directly to the Hanley Energy management team in Dublin.
As the three installation projects are finalized, the role will focus more on providing ongoing service to the client, and to ensure the installation operates as intended. As Hanley Energy grows in Sweden the role may, for the right candidate, evolve into a country managers role.
Personal qualifications
To start with, you have a strong and proven background in project management, with all necessary administrative skills. You are hence well aware of what is expected from you when it comes to planning, coordination and follow up with internal and external parties.
To succeed in this position you need to be a goal oriented leader with ability to keep your eye on a multitude of tasks. You are well structured and have an open and direct communication with high transparency. You will work autonomously in the field, but are always backed up by experienced colleagues in Ireland.
You have high customer focus and are a problem solver, who never leaves a question unanswered. You are easy to cooperate with, but have high integrity and are comfortable to handle any employee situations that may occur.
Safety, environment and ethics is not an issue to you - it is part of your attitude.
We see that you probably have a technical education at college or university level and at least 5 years of experience from technical project management. Experience from contractor management and power solutions is an advantage.
You are comfortable to communicate, both in speech and writing, in English. You have all skills in relevant softwares, such as project management tools, MS Office etc.
Terms
This is a permanent full time position located in Eskilstuna. You are hired directly by Hanley Energy in Sweden, and local employment terms apply.
The salary is negotiated during employment process and dependant on the candidate.
