What you will be a part of
Aeronautics, a business area of Saab, offers advanced airborne systems, related subsystems, unmanned aerial systems, aerostructures and services to defence customers and commercial aerospace industries worldwide. Aeronautics is also responsible for development, production, marketing, selling and supporting of the Gripen fighter.
Your role will be at the department of Quality & Operational Excellence, and you will be a part of the section for Airframe Design Support. Airframe Design Support is a support function for the product development within Aeronautics and we provide the tools, methods and systems used by the engineers in the organization. Our core competence is user support, development and management of methodolody and strategic business assignments. The section is also leading within MBD, Model Based Definition, a methodology where all the requirements are in the 3D-model and the data is reused by all disciplines. We are currently about 25 employees, all with varied backgrounds, age and gender.
We are now looking for a senior project manager.
Your role
You will be part of a new project structure and your mission will be within the production transfer to our customer in Brazil. You will handle issues of process and systems nature and, through your work, enable the transfer of our production to the customer in a structured way. You will be responsible for identifying the methods, tools and processes that are involved in the transfer and be responsible for developing sustainable solutions for those linked to the production. You will report to the main project and ensure that the needed information is in place. You will also be responsible for a number of sub-projects that will work to facilitate the different areas of the assignment.
Your mission will also include updating our organizational management system for future work with transfers within our organization. There is a challenge in defining ways of working and best practie for your mission. You will have many contacts that extends over both departments and projects. In addition to this you will have common tasks as project manager as responsibility for the budget, deliverables, risk analysis and more.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for a solution oriented leader who has previous experience of manufacturing organizations. You have knowledge in how to managing large, business critical, projects and is comfortable with not having a given approach in your work. Since the customer is based in Brazil, it's a merit if you have international experience and the ability to travel within the work. You are focused, yet observant as the role involves a lot of contacts and cooperation with other disciplines across organizational boundaries.
