As project manager within Saab IT you are an important contributor to the success of the company by managing projects, timely and efficiently, within the Saab IT PMO to support the business needs. The projects run within one or several business areas at specifics sites, countries or across Saab globally. Saab depends more and more on having fast and timely access to IT-solutions to support the business, and excellent project execution is an important part in enabling our future success.
In practice our projects execute within a wide range of functional areas:
* Mergers and acquisitions
* IT Program support for end-customer deals
* Development of new services
* Pre-studies for future services
* Application development, deployment, user training and upgrade
* IT environments to support our international business and future campaigns
* Industrial cooperations
* Enhancements of production environments
* Continuous improvements within the Saab IT PMO and ways of working
We are well on the way to implementing a global Saab IT organization which means that your colleagues will be working also outside of Sweden. This role requires travelling within and outside of Sweden.
Your Profile
We think you work as a project or program manager today and have a proven record of successfully managing IT-programs, projects and operational change projects with an IT content, in complex environments. We think you are result-oriented, customer-oriented, business minded, persistent, engaged and with excellent communication skills.
You have a way of empowering your fellow co-workers and project team members to happily strive towards to the goals. We want to strengthen the team with people experienced within the area of ERP applications, IFS in particular, projects targeting change activities within R&D IT-environments and experence from applications projects with a combination of on-prem and cloud-based setup with lots of integrations.
Saab ICT is a service organization and exists for the benefit of the business. In order to be successful you need to understand how to best support our business day-to-day as well as 1-4 years ahead so we assume that you can can both take on the helicopter-perspective as well as digging into details with an analytical mind-set when it is needed.
We think you like transparency and that you are a team-player. Your strive to constantly improve your ways of working and to give your team the best possible prerequisites to succeed. You see a failure as a way of improving your knowledge and you have the mindset that it is better to try than doing nothing.
We consider it as a merit if you have succesfully managed projects with distributed team in several countries or at differents sites as well as proejct management using agile methods.
We think you have a university degree in a relevant area and good knowledge of one or several project management methods. This position requires excellent skills in English and knowledge of other languages, as well as international experience, is a merit
Swedish citizenship is a requirement as well as good knowledge of Swedish.
What you will be a part of
Within Saab IT PMO we are responsible for Saab IT project portfolio management, pre-studies, project calculations and preparation, execution and hand-over of Saab IT programs and projects.
Saab IT includes internal IT within Saab wherever it resides. Our Business areas, Group Functions as well as the central IT organization, manage various parts of the Saab IT content. Saab IT project portfolio includes all IT related projects within Saab, all over the world, except any IT in our end-customer products. We work in a way as to secure the best possible project support to our end-customer business as well as more traditional internal IT projects in the common IT landscape and other change activities to support the company 's constant strive to become more efficient by implementing more automation and digitalization. Saab has an offensive business plan and our primary goal is to support that plan and the many change activities needed.
We are responsible for processes, methods and tools, enable prioritization and work with forecasting and planning for the portfolio competence and resource needs, based on scenario planning and business prioritization. A large part of the portfolio is supporting the business deals with IT solutions during the various step of either winning or executing the deals and we support the operations within enhancements, upgrades or consolidations of IT systems, improvements, upgrades or deployment of solutions. All our projects work in close cooperation with corporate security, the Business Units, Market areas, partners and sometimes with authorities. Today, we have employees and consultants in Linköping (majority), Gothenburg, Karlskrona, Malmö and Huskvarna.
Last but not least we are also working in the IT technical forefront with solutions within the digitalization of Saab and our development environment. All program and projects are run in close cooperation with variuos stakeholder in the business or internal Saab ICT.
This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.
