hela Sverige The role of the PMO is to manage project management lifecycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close) including detailed planning, resource management, scheduling, budgeting, and quality to ensure the effective delivery of projects to the organization. The PMO will ensure that the IT and business organization is informed on the demand pipeline of incoming projects, available capacity and the health of projects that are underway.
The Senior Project Manager role leads larger, high priority complex projects including responsibility for all aspects of the project over the entire life (initiate, plan, execute, control, close). Management duties include assembling the project team, identifying appropriate resources needed, assigning individual responsibilities, and developing the schedule to ensure timely completion of project. The Senior Project Manager will easily access system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the project team. In this role effective, consistent delivery of high visibility projects with the potential for executive level communications is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with Electrolux business organizations to define and deliver business solutions.
• Define project scope, goals, constraints, and assumptions that support business goals in collaboration stakeholders to develop project charters.
• Draft project requirements, estimate costs and submit budget proposals as required.
• Direct and manage project planning, execution, control and closure phases of the project lifecycle.
• Determine staff and/or consultant requirements and manage recruitments as necessary during project life cycle.
• Develop work plans, schedule resources and track project progress using appropriate tools.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and to identify and maintain critical path.
• Execute tasks as defined in the project plan in order to achieve project goals.
• Develop and update project deliverables as needed.
• Define project success criteria, monitor using appropriate tools and techniques and communicate status though duration of project.
• Effectively manage project expectations of team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Manage scope change requests providing assessments to time, cost and scope.
• Ensure timely approval of all key decisions affecting time, cost or scope by appropriate project authority during project lifecycle.
• Schedule and conduct project team, steering and other meetings and distribute notes as necessary.
• Manage and address all risks and issues during project lifecycle.
• Ensure on-boarding is conducted for new project team members.
• Ensure user acceptance testing processes are managed and completed as required.
• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
• Maintain expertise in project management best practices.
• Maintain expertise in MS EPM.
Qualifications & Experience
• An undergraduate degree is required, MBA is preferred; PMI or Prince Certification is required.
• 7-12 years of IT experience with 6-10 years project management experience, preferably for a progressive IT organization within a manufacturing business or with Electrolux.
• Leading complex, enterprise level projects.
• Management of large IT projects: budgets from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000+ and a project teams averaging up to 30 resources.
• Experience leading in a variety of highly technical and complex business driven projects including engagement with external companies, resources or interfacing to external systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Enterprise Project Management Server.
• Experience creating and maintaining project budgets.
• Evaluating and negotiating the acquisition of external services.
• Project management skills and experience or training including the utilization of project management best practice life cycle methodologies and documentation processes. This should include experience with standard tools and processes for:
o Originating
o Planning
o Executing
o Controlling
o Closure
• Excellent understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes for application implementations.

The Project Management Office is part of the IT organization and responsible for managing the scope, schedule and cost of projects for the organization utilizing best practices and established company methodologies.
