The Role
DeLaval is looking to further develop our expertise in driving projects in an important sector that helps the world consume products in a sustainable way and is now looking for a Senior Project Manager to the Project Management Office within Product Development (RD).
As Senior Project manager, you will be a key person in aligning projects and making sure they proceed as planned. The projects are very often part of integrated systems containing mechanics, electronics, hardware and software. You will lead the development projects through different phases, from feasibility study to commercial release of products. In addition, it is also important for the Project Manager to understand the bigger picture and business side in relation to the development of future DeLaval products.
Some of your Key Responsibilities for the position will be to: Plan, execute and conclude development project to given targets as result, time and budget
Establish commitment in the project team
Create, visualize and communicate plans and status, flag risks and deviations early
Pro-active risk management
Actively work with change management
Strive for continuous improvements and transferring "lessons learned" to the line organization
Actively support improvements in way of working, mainly within project- and portfolio management
You will be a part of the Project Manager Team within Product Development and work with a wide range of stakeholders within DeLaval. The Development Organization, in total 280 people can be potential project member at different times. The teams are mainly based in Sweden and Poland, but you will also interact with colleagues in USA and with production, lab and distribution sites in Germany and China with a great possibility to make a positive impact on both people and products.
As an employee of DeLaval you will get the opportunity to work in a beautiful but also practical environment, since the factory, development and the lab is adjacent to each other in Tumba south of Stockholm.
Is this you?
To be successful in this position we believe you have a technical university degree and several years of working experience as Project Manager. In addition, you have strong understanding of product development processes in a large RD organization. We also think you have solid experience from agile methodologies. Experience of Jira or other Project Management Programs gives extra merit.
Fluent in English, both in speech and writing is mandatory.
In this recruitment, your personal attributes will be of great importance. We are looking for a person who has strong leadership skills as well as very good strategic capability. You make things happen and take decisions when necessary with a structured approach. It is very important you are a good communicator with ability to communicate with both business and strategic stakeholders as well as with technical development teams. You are also a team player who work well in a multinational set up.
