hela Sverige In this role the Engineer uses state of the art tools and methods to solve engineering challenges. These challenges may include working with SKF's Application Engineering Group to increase or optimize the performance of industrial machinery. They also include working on SKF's next generation products in collaboration with the Product Development organization.
Typically, the Project Engineer will use virtual modelling and simulation to represent the behavior of a system and explore solution alternatives. In all cases, the Project Engineer will help to bring SKF's understanding of an engineering challenge to a higher level.
Responsibilities
To perform advanced engineering analyses in support of Application Engineering or Product/Technology Development, and external customers;
To use state of the art tools, such as SKF's internal modelling and simulation packages as well as commercial tools;
To perform agreed activities in line with time and quality objectives;
To interface directly with peers, experts, and customers;
To plan, execute, control and evaluate required activities autonomously or in cooperation with the Application Engineer / Project Manager;
To write technical proposals and engineering reports;
To interact on engineering challenges with peers and experts inside and outside the global AECC organization;
To document gained knowledge into Modelling & Simulation best practices;
To build and maintain a network with SKF organization.
Requirements and Profile
The ideal candidate for this position is a motivated individual who desires to be part of a high performing team. We expect you to have:
University degree in Engineering or equivalent
Strong analytical mind-set and modelling and simulation background
Strong level of experience from FEA or other multibody simulation tools
Experience with industrial machinery
Effective communication to both internal and external customers
Teamwork ability, interest to learn from, and share competences with others, locally and globally
Willingness to travel
Good command of the English language
It is seen as an advantage if you have experience in Application Engineering.

Design verification and optimization of bearing solutions for nearly all industrial applications
Design studies and functional analysis as part of Product Development Projects
Root cause failure analysis
The AECC takes advantage of 15 year of experience in this field.
