At ABB, we lead the industrial development in automation and digitalization. We are now looking for a new senior engineer with a focus on industrial automation, located in Umeå.
Do you currently work with automation in industry? Then you can be the one we are looking for! We offer you a very challenging opportunity where you are involved in developing the process industry of the future. It is a varied work where you work in teams, both with colleagues and customers.
You will be an important part of ABB Process Industries, which is a division within the Business Area Process Automation. Our focus is to deliver complete electrification, automation and digital solutions, industry-specific products and life cycle services to customers in the mining and paper industry. The role is characterized by freedom with responsibility and you will be able to influence your role and tasks.
This position reports to Engineering Manager.
Your responsibilities
You work closely with our customers and colleagues to develop and deliver solutions that lead to joint improvements and successes.
You lead technically competent colleagues and customers in all phases of the project from idea to project completion.
You develop and review our engineering processes, methods and tools to ensure quality and efficiency in our deliveries.
You support project managers, sales representative and managers with risk management and business activities for ongoing and new assignments.
You are responsible for technical solutions, material and hourly calculations and technical risk analyses in tenders.
You share ABB's core values around security and privacy, which means that you take responsibility for your own actions while feeling responsible for your colleagues and the business community.
Your background
You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
You have at least 5 years of experience in industrial automation as an engineer, developing system solutions, programming and configuring industrial control systems such as Siemens PCS7, ABB Ability 800xA or similar makes.
You have great experience of engineering and project deliveries.
You have a strong focus on safety and a conviction to apply guidelines for a safe workplace.
You have experience leading others in the work through collaboration and solution-oriented approach.
Since you will work in a global company, you need to master Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
