Information about the division/the project
CAOS consists of three primary research groups: Antenna Systems, Communication Systems, and Optical Networks, focusing on wireless and optical technologies for communication and sensing. Projects span various areas, including antenna system design, signal processing for communication technologies, algorithms for future-generation systems, optical communication infrastructure, quantum Internet, and applications of machine learning and artificial intelligence in communications and security.

The division's research initiatives prioritize sustainability, aiming to create inherently sustainable communication and sensing systems while addressing environmental impacts caused by communication infrastructures. Emphasis is placed on addressing security and privacy concerns arising from advanced communication and surveillance technologies, emphasizing ethical usage to prevent misuse.

CAOS is dedicated to resolving contemporary challenges through fundamental and application-driven research. Researchers within CAOS lead or contribute to various research centers hosted by Chalmers, including WiTECH, FORCE, WASP, and CHAIR. Additionally, the division plays an active role in educating future engineers by offering numerous courses covering a broad spectrum of topics and engaging in collaborative projects with industries for bachelor's and master's theses.

Job description
As a Senior Project Coordinator responsible for national and European collaborative activities, the primary tasks include staying updated on funding opportunities and regulations while actively supporting, initiating, and driving research proposals and necessary consortium building. This pivotal role oversees the entire project proposal process from inception to implementation, providing crucial support in project execution, including monitoring deliverable deadlines, managing project finances, and scouting for funding and collaboration opportunities aligned with faculty research interests at industry events.

Additionally, the Senior Project Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between faculty researchers and Chalmers administration, offering support in legal, IPR guidance, event coordination, visual design, social media, and web support.

Contract terms
Permanent employment, full time.

Qualifications
Ideal candidates for the Senior Project Coordinator role possess 5+ years of experience in project/operational management or related functions. They exhibit expertise in bridging academia, industry, and government, accompanied by exceptional interpersonal skills and proficiency in written and oral English (Swedish proficiency is advantageous).

A background in communication systems/networks, e.g., microwave electronics, antennas, signal processing algorithms, or AI/ML, coupled with a BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or related fields, is required." The candidate should excel as a team player, be willing to mentor junior colleagues, and be willing to adapt, travel, and engage with the EU funding system.
