Let us describe the challenge we offer

We need an enthusiastic, open-minded, and organized person here at Polestar to be a valuable member in our growing Global Procurement Team. Indirect Procurement is responsible for the purchasing of all non-production materials and services to all our staff and plants. We are now looking for a new Talented Professional Services Procurement professional for our IDP team.

The Professional Services buyer is responsible for the purchasing area of all consultant recruitments, external recruitments, and other HR-related services. You will be leading the procurement, negotiations and agreements as well as leading the future supplier strategic sourcing plan, in-line with our stakeholders. We are a global team with purchasing functions in the China region. We're also beginning to build our U.S organization for the future.

This role will report directly to Polestar Senior Procurement Manager based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

What you'll do

• Lead all Polestar sourcing for consultant recruitment and bought-in services across the business.
• Create and Perform procurement Strátegies hand in hand with our internal partners
• Establish supplier bases for each area defining short & long term sourcing strategies, and aligning with the business.
• Negotiate commercial and legal agreements.
• Review purchase requisitions, and identify and select contract/suppliers in accordance with defined strategies and agreements.
• Advise stakeholders on procurement issues, providing support and guidance at all stages of the procurement cycle as well as on modifications in requests.
• Track key performance indicators on supplier and stakeholder contract compliance; define and take corrective actions to improve contracts compliance and continuously track supplier performance on quality and cost.
• Perform necessary market analysis to support the sourcing activity.
• Create and maintain commercial relations with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Initiate and conduct supplier evaluations and supplier audits.

• Support the business transformation within Polestar and the best in class procurement initiatives.

Who you are

You're motivated, driven, and capable, and have working experience in communicating to diverse stakeholder groups leveraging effective approaches for communicating information. You are customer oriented, responsible, innovative, and driven. Strong multi-disciplinary skills with business acumen, seasoned negotiation skills & strategic planning is strongly preferred. You're a doer with solid organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and an eye for detail.

We also believe you match the following requirements:

• Proven experience as a Professional Service buyer or similar purchasing position.
• Thorough understanding of the procurement process and strategic sourcing.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office packages; working knowledge of Volvo SRM software is a strong advantage.
• High integrity with a holistic view.
• BSc in Economics or Technical discipline from a university degree or equivalent institution.
