Senior Product Manager

About the job
In this role you will contribute to the strategic development of our solutions and be instrumental for the development of our product portfolio.
AlfaWall Oceanbird aims at becoming the market leading provider of wind propulsion solution to the shipping industry and thereby prevent contribution to climate change and other harmful emissions from shipping. The first installations are scheduled to be in operation on an ocean-going car carrier in 2025.
AlfaWall Oceanbird AB is about to be established* as a 50/50 joint venture, owned by Alfa Laval and Wallenius but operated as an independent company. We are now building up the team, with highly skilled, motivated and passionate people, that will form the core of this company.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage AlfaWall Oceanbird products throughout their lifecycles.
* Be involved in all aspects of delivery and service including organizational readiness, ensuring the products and their eco-systems are built to deliver business value.
* Develop and maintain product and component data as well as providing customer-facing product data.
* Participate in shaping roadmaps for a portfolio wind-power products from strategic planning to tactical activities, based on inputs relevant stakeholders.
* Engagement with business stakeholders to cover the strategic aspects of product development, including product vision definition, roadmap creation, business case creation and follow-up.
* Work closely with product development team and management team to define customer value propositions and build functional and non-functional requirements.
Who you are:
* >10 years of experience from working with product development and management, preferably within the marine industry.
* Experience with developing a new product or product line from the start
* Understanding of shipping market requirements and conditions.
* Understanding in Classification and Type Approval processes.
* Relevant experience within PLM and release management, preferable within marine environment and knowledge about BOMs, product documentation, variant management and change management.
* Strong product and project management skills and a proven track record of managing a successful product throughout its lifecycle
* Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams, partnering across engineering, marketing, and sales to deliver products and services that meet client needs
* Strong team player, you thrive working together with other people and competences in reaching a common goal.
* Perseverant with an analytical and goal-oriented mindset.
* Organized and structured with attention to details
* Communicative both orally and in writing
* You are self-going and self-motivated
• The creation of AlfaWall Oceanbird is subject to customary merger clearance from relevant regulatory authorities
