Projects & Engineering is AkzoNobel's centre of excellence in the field of project management and engineering that delivers investment projects. At Projects & Engineering you will be challenged to continuously improve services, working on projects up to 100 million Euros in investment value in which you will work together with highly skilled technical professionals who work from our offices in Sweden, the Netherlands, China, USA, Brazil and India. Project and Engineering delivers capital investments in line with AkzoNobel business requirements.
For our office in Bohus, Sweden, we are looking for two Senior Process Engineers, who will be part of leading large, complex global projects, with potential to learn new processes and grow in responsibility in the P&E organisation.
Job description
As Senior Process Engineer you will report to the team leader Process Technology and work with a wide range of smaller to larger investment projects.
Main responsibilities will be to:
• Lead and manage process design for the technologies used within AkzoNobel
• Prepare and follow up the process design budget and time schedule
• Carry out process design including process calculations, sizing of equipment, P&ID, material- and energy balances
• Approve process design document deliveries to customers
• Perform cost estimation of equipment in studies and pre-projects and support sourcing with technical evaluation of quotations
• Lead/participate as Process Engineer at commissioning and start-up of plants
• Carry out training of the customer plant operation staff
• Participate as process responsible in safety analysis and other HSE activities
• Coach colleagues with less experience in order to form efficient teams and promote personal development
Who we are looking for
• M.Sc. Chemical Engineer or Similar
• Preferably 10 years of experience from process design engineering including start up and commissioning of plants
• Broad experience from chemical plant engineering projects and deep knowledge in process calculations
• Excellent knowledge in process engineering and process design tools
• Knowledge in Risk assessment
• Ability to cooperate in teams and to coach others
• Customer oriented
• Open to travel up to 100 days per year
• Good knowledge in English
