Your new challenge
Asset Management EMEIA is Nouryon's center of excellence in the field of project management and process engineering. We create business value for Nouryon by delivering investment projects and optimizing current operations. Our engineers are located in offices in the Netherlands and Sweden. At Asset Management you will get the opportunity to further developing your talents and skills and contributing to continuously improve our organization and services.
You will participate in projects, being able to act as lead engineer and also lead small projects. Based on customer demands, you will also define scope of projects and manage uncertainties within the own discipline. The position also requires you to participate/lead as Process Engineer at commissioning and start-up of plants and be responsible for new process design, using new technology and RD&I information.
Other tasks and areas of responsibility are to:
• Perform process design in projects including:
• Basis of design, flow sheeting, process flow diagram, material and heat balance
• Process calculations, sizing of equipment, piping and instrumentation
• Create and establish P&ID (Piping & Instrument Diagram)
• Preparation of functional descriptions of instrumentation and process control
• Performtechnical evaluation ofquotations and support sourcing on contract agreements
• Document the activities performed on processes and design work including documentation to customer
• Carry out training ofthe customer'soperations and maintenancestaff
Your profile
You should be eager to dig into challenging projects with a collaborative and teamwork oriented approach. To be successful in this role, you also need to be result oriented and very flexible, with a fast response to change in cultural environment (business and/or geographical context). We also believe that you are driven by finding solutions and constantly seeking improvement.
We expect you to have a M Sc Chemical Engineering or similar, and long experience with chemical plant design, start up and commissioning or process engineering in R&D. You have excellent knowledge in process engineering and process design tools. Experience and knowledge in risk assessment is of course highly valued, such as previous experience of Comos and Aspen Plus. This position requires some travelling and therefore you should have a willingness to travel abroad. Finally, your English knowledge should be fluent both spoken and written.
