We are looking for an experienced Grid Automation Systems Lead Engineer as design authority and technical lead for highly complex engineering activities. In this role you will be a system lead engineer with a broad profile that can manage several of the installation and integration activities in our large project deliveries around the globe. You will lead, supervise and coordinate multidisciplinary project engineering teams in all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on projects of very high complexity, and support with technical advice and guidance. You will be the single point of contact to the customer for the technical component of the project.
Your responsibilities
Be ready to relocate for up to 3 years to the country where the project is implemented
Create engineering proposals for highly complex or innovative project opportunities, including coordination with multiple business units and consortium partners
Facilitate overall engineering risk analysis with all partners before submitting proposal.
Support Contract Manager in issuing claims (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.)
Support the Project Manager in the overall project risk and opportunity assessments and implementation of resulting actions
Work with customers at strategic level to shape and deliver leading edge solutions/processes in order to meet customer needs and develop long term relationship
Provide technical advice to senior management, especially in unique or highly complex proposal opportunities
Initiate and lead best practice sharing activities across different projects and disciplines with the goal to improve the competence in the wider engineering community.
Your background
You have Master (or Bachelor) degree in Electrical Engineering and solid understanding of grid automation and power systems
At least +10 years of work experience in Power and T&D industry
Good understanding of electrical power grids, network control systems (SCADA EMS, SCADA ADMS), power applications, telecommunication, substation automation, related data acquisition infrastructures, etc.
Proven experiences in the design, engineering, installation and commissioning of such control system infrastructure projects
A creative mindset, combined with ability to seek information, knowledge of how to solve technical problems
Fluency in English both written and spoken is required
