Scania Powertrain Analysis and Simulation team are looking for a new senior simulation engineer for Powertrain Simulation and analysis.
Our team is currently developing our verification and especially the simulation tools to meet the future demands on the team. One of the most important tasks we have in front of us is to investigate different future powertrain systems into the future were electrification and traditional technologies will join in a lot of potential scenarios.
We are currently looking for a communicative, technologically aware person, who can see the big picture, to join our group. The group's responsibilities consist of developing and balancing properties of the powertrain, with respect to driveability and energy efficiency. We analyse the powertrain and its control, to understand and enhance performance that creates value for the customer.
Your duties
Develop the verification toolbox within the company. The work will be development of simulation methods and the use of them to support the organization. The work will be done in close cooperation with physical testing to secure model quality. You will work together with other simulation departments to reuse detail models as important parts of the simulation tool for Powertrain Control Strategies.
Analyse and evaluate technical solutions to reach powertrain performance, for electrified and traditional powertrains
• Create and maintain models for the powertrain and its control
• Deliver simulation and verification results to the organization
• Support benchmark competitors and challenge existing concepts
• Cooperate cross-functionally with R&D and other entities in the Traton group
• Compile decision basis for R&D management
Your profile
You are senior and highly motivated simulation engineer who plan to keep on working in this domain for a long period of time. You hold a MSc or PhD degree within mechanical engineering, controls, mechatronics. You have former and fresh experinces in Powertrain and/or vehicle simulations in either car, truck, bus and construction equipment.
You are senior in the use of Mathwork toolboxes and/or GT-Suite in the application described above. If you have special competences in transmissions, hybrid technology, engines and othe Powertain components it is an asset.
You are capable of expressing yourself fluently in English and Swedish.
