Volvo Financial Services are currently recruiting for a talented and well-organised Regional Senior Risk & Portfolio Analyst who will report directly into the VP of Credit & Risk for the North & Central region. The successful candidate will play a specialist and key role in assessing, revising, and predicting credit risk within the N&C Regional Portfolio and providing management with relevant data along with suggested actions to address. Additionally, the Senior Risk & Portfolio Analyst will be the lead role in creating new scorecards, monitoring them for performance and providing management with proposed improvement areas and be key in monitoring the performance of the Automated Credit Engine across the region. Furthermore, this role will represent the credit & risk function in several of the business development projects in the region.

Specifics of the Regional Senior Risk & Portfolio Analyst:
Supporting in the implementation of Automatic Credit Engine within markets that do not currently have the functionality
Interpreting business rules into a code that our software for intelligent automation and digital decisioning can work with
On-going management of the automated credit engine in the region including annual reviews and driving improvements in automation rates
Ownership of credit risk strategy documentation and grading models
Plan, co-ordinate and execute all rule changes in co-ordination with IT responsible, securing implementation and testing
Improve portfolio analytics and trending across the region including identifying key areas of risk with an intent of predicting the future rather than just looking backwards
Ensure credit risk is quantifiable (PD, LGD) and monitored
Manage and monitor scorecards and grading models in the region
Drive adoption of risk forecasting tools such as roll-rates, transition matrices and other
Act as super-user of BI and visualization tools for the region in the credit & risk area
Produce and present the regional risk portfolio review to senior management
Represent the credit & risk function in various business development projects across the region

Key Duties
Secure portfolio monitoring and control across the region
Liaising with other subject matter functions such as Data Science Studio and Data Visualization and Analytics to drive initiatives in this area.
Using models to produce Probability of Default and Loss Given Default estimates
Monitor scorecards, PD- and LGD estimates
Analyze and propose improvements to credit risk strategies ("business rules")
Implement new credit risk strategies
Predictive loss forecasting using tools such as vintage-, roll-rate- and transition matrix analysis
Drive enhancements of tools to analyze risk such as dashboards

Education & Professional Experience
Academic degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, or economics with a specialization in a quantitative subject such as econometrics or experience in credit & risk with an aptitude for quantitative analysis
Experience or knowledge of SAS, SQL, R or similar programming language
Experience of working with large quantities in a data lake environment and presenting it to a non-technical audience.
5 years of experience from the financial services industry, consulting firm or regulator working with analytics
Subject matter knowledge of credit underwriting and collections procedures extremely desirable
Experience in automating processes in credit and collections

Competencies & Skills

Technical
General programming skills
General understanding of predictive modelling techniques
Proficiency in analytical tools such as R, SAS or similar
Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI
Experience with Decision Modelling software from vendors such as FICO, Actico or Experian is highly meriting.
