We are looking for a Producibility Engineer PCB PBA to join our team in Kumla, Sweden. The purpose of the role is to ensure efficient realization of our state of the art radio products.
Product Development Unit Radio (PDU Radio) drives the end-to-end research and development of Ericsson's radio products and solutions. We are a global organization, within Development Unit Networks (DNEW), of approximately 3,000 engineers and developers collaborating across nine sites in Canada, China and Sweden to drive Ericsson's strategy of securing our ongoing market leadership in radio, taking a leadership position in 5G.
Prototyping and Production Technology, PPT is a part of PDU Radio. PPT is responsible for prototype production to support product- and test development. We are also a competence center in production and producibility technology and material analysis. In addition, we are producing various equipment for design tests, exhibitions and more. Our facilities are in Kista and Kumla. The team consists of independent and senior team members.

You will
Improve PCB and PBA design
Perform design for manufacturing/assembly reviews
HW investigations to improve producibility and to tackle various problems
Understand and share the interdependency between the product and the production system
Use and improve design rules
Continuously improve own and team ways of working
Collaboration is key: this unit needs to collaborate with many other units, on many sites with different responsibilities. Collaborate with design units and supply, collaborate with partners.
The role will collaborate with senior colleagues with deep expertise in how to develop Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) and Printed Board Assembly (PBA) in a way that they are efficient to produce. You will connect with layout-, digital, DCDC and RF developers as well as production engineers.
Improvement and communication are important in this role. We are striving for excellence, and you need to share your expertise with project members from other technology area. You will give feedback after review, before release of products. We are working with continuous improvements to improve process and tools to achieve higher quality before and after review.
To be successful in the role you must have
Experience from electronic design and/or electronic production is needed
Experience of design for mass production is preferred
Knowledge of PCB technologies is helpful
Collaboration and coaching skills are needed
Ability to communicate both verbally and in text is essential
