Right now, we are offering you the opportunity to join our Product Hardware team as a Senior Optoelectronics Engineer. In the last couple of years, Verisure has been on an incredible journey with a steady expansion. To be able to continue this journey, we want and need you.
Our hardware development team in Malmö including Electronic, Mechanical and production engineering team supports our global organization with the development of the world's best home alarm security products. In this team, you will add experience and knowledge from the field of optics and optoelectronics for the development of new consumer products.
Specifically, we need you to:
* Design and evaluate lenses, mirrors and windows for passive infrared (PIR) motion detectors
* Evaluate optical sensors such as CMOS imagers, Pyroelectric and Thermopile sensors
* Camera system specification and evaluation including lenses, multi-pass IR-filters, cover glasses, coatings, etc.
* Evaluation of camera back-end components such as ISPs, drivers, HW accelerators, etc.
* Specification of cover glasses and coatings for displays
* Develop custom parts from scratch, as well as supporting sub-suppliers in their development
* Design efficient light guides for indicators on battery-powered products to optimize battery life
* Verify optical designs with optical simulation software
* work closely with the electronics, mechanics and software teams
* optimize parts for high-volume, low-cost manufacturing
* build-up of an in-house optics lab for testing and verification
* participate in production test jigs development, volume ramp-up, securing optical performance of the products
* be the company SME (subject matter expert) for optics
