What you'll do?
We're now looking for a Senior Opto-Electronic Process Development Engineer. Your main mission will be to define, implement and continuously improve our Active Alignment and bonding process. With this you'll become our Global Expert and Authority for Active Alignment Processes.
You will ensure 1P1P process development, continuous improvement and process robustness to achieve world class performances. To be able to do this you will manage our "Manufacturing Lead Plant" LPD's/LPEA's in charge of designing, developing and validating new processes and equipment. You will lead the 1P1P activities, deployments and support launches. Including supporting Electronics entities with your experience during developments, projects, production and in case of issues. You will also drive Global Problem-Solving activities and Yokoten. This means that you will have a strategic responsibility to propose new process and technology development directions to our Global Design and Global Manufacturing departments
In addition, you will:
• Secure processes compliancy to International standards at all Veoneer manufacturing plants
• Increase the understanding of physics, optics, optronics, imaging system, optical measuring techniques and production testing amongst our Engineers
• Increase the understanding of optics/lens system's impact on algorithms and functions
• Define and validate 1P1P processes, materials, equipment and key parameters settings
• Ensure the efficient implementation of Master PFMEA, 1P1P Global Specifications and 4M methodology in all plants
• Define and continuously improve Veoneer Standards as: "Design for Manufacturing Rules" checklists, Master PFMEA, 4M, MPS, Machine Specifications and SWI
• Define, implement and continuously improve our colleagues experience of Fault Tree Analysis and FMEA/PFMEA
• Support creation of validation specifications for new concepts/processes

Level (diploma) required:
• University degree (or equivalent experience) within Engineering, Physics, Optomechanical, or Manufacturing.
• Minimum 5-10 years' experience within Active Alignment Process
Other required skills included language:
• Technical expertise in optical active alignment processes.
• Statistics and tolerances analysis.
• Experience with key quality tools (Cpk, Ppk, PPAP, MSA, SPC, 8D, FMEA)
• Failure analysis expertise
• Matlab software
• Optomechanical design (understand fixturing and product geometry)
Fluent in English, written and speech
