Avionics Systems develops and manufactures qualified electronics, mechanics and software for demanding applications in aircraft and helicopters. Most of our projects are carried out in an international environment and we supply products to some the world's largest aircraft manufacturers. Product area Integrated Avionics develops, produces, maintains and supports the products over the complete life cycle.
Our main customer offer is improved Situational Awareness through our AVAS (Advanced Vision & Awareness System) system concept and our products. Products within the Product Area includes Mission Equipment, Head Up Displays, Communication Management products , All Weather, Operations systems and Safety and Awareness systems.
are now seeking for a Senior Optical Engineer to our team. You will be an important and vital part of the Display Systems unit located in Huskvarna, Linköping and Järfälla!
Your role
You have an open attitude, are encouraged by many interfaces in your daily work and possess a natural gift of presentations and mentoring. As a true team player you contribute to, create, foster and spread strong relationships within and outside the unit. A high degree of experience and personal maturity is expected in this role.
As Senior Optical Engineer, capable of quickly becoming proficient in the application of our operational systems, you will be involved in proposals, research, development and production projects. Main tasks are design, simulation and testing, all in close cooperation with production. Within this work area, collaboration with both suppliers and research institutes are foreseen.
Your skills and experience
You have an excellent analytic ability and have the capability to work holistic without letting go of the details. A PhD degree in relevant field such as aerospace, electronics or electro mechanics is preferably, and at least 10 years' experience from e equal relevant field. Excellent knowledge and communication skills in both Swedish and English is mandatory. We expect you have leadership, planning and design management abilities. Some travels can be expected in this role.
This position includes access to classified information, therefore you are required to conduct a security screening in accordance with the Protective Security Act and be approved for security clearance by the authority.
