This Purchasing team is managing Engine Management System (electronics and software) Boosting and Hot End Exhaust within Propulsion Purchasing.
We purchase material to advanced projects, new projects and running production for all VCC:s Engine and Vehicle manufacturing plants globally.
We are now looking to fill a position as a Senior Operational Buyer within the EMS team (Engine management system) where you will be part of the team working with Sensors and Throttles.
It is important having a good holistic understanding and strategic view and to proactively develop and improve the supplier base within the cross functional team. The job will also require a high ability to solve problems in a structured manner and identify opportunities for improvement. Business travel opportunities will occure.
Main responsibilities:
* Work in close cooperation with engineering and other stakeholders to meet the project targets for cost and timing.
* Issuing purchase orders/update prices
* Negotiate technical changes
* Together with the team develop commercial opportunities within the supply chain
* Negotiate and proactively strive to reduce total cost of product
* Build and maintain profitable commercial relations with suppliers and stakeholders
* Establish action plans on supplier-specific issues, when necessary
* Responsible for supplier capacity and constraints.
* Drive supplier sustainability.
* Identify, evaluate and mitigate risks in the Supply Chain
Required qualifications
* Minimum 2 years' experience of purchasing or equivalent
* Good English, written and spoken
* Commercial or technical university degree or equivalent.
* Negotiation and commercial experience
* Technical knowledge/experience/interest is an advantage

* Confident in an international and diverse environment
* Ability to build and maintain profitable/strategic supplier relations
