Would you like to help develop the platform for the future of autonomous transport systems and work with state-of-the-art autonomous vehicles? We are looking for a senior software developer with experience of software development and architecture who is looking for an exciting new challenge.

The entire automotive industry is undergoing a rapid transformation where the actual driving of the vehicle is increasingly being taken over by sophisticated electronic systems. Within the foreseeable future, we will see fully autonomous vehicles in service. Industries and cities now looks beyond just the vehicles themselves towards complete autonomous transport systems that guarantee both safe and climate-friendly transport of goods and people. The successful applicant will work primarily with off-vehicle control platform software, integrating autonomous vehicles, cloud services, IoT and artificial intelligence to form the transport system of the future.

Your profile
You are a graduate engineer with several years of professional experience in IT systems development, primarily in .Net and C#. It is an advantage to have knowledge about C/C++ and SQL. You will work in the group responsible for architecture and development of the platform. This requires extensive knowledge of software architecture and modern development methods. It would be a significant advantage if you have experience of Microsoft Azure. Development work is conducted in a number of different environments, both in cloud-based management systems and on board vehicles.

As a person you are communicative and prefer agile methods of working. You are a strong team player, but are also self-driven and capable of independent work.

About us
We are part of Scania's research organisation working on sustainable transport solutions for the future. We find answers to the questions as to how we can achieve radically reduced emissions, manage the negative effects of ongoing urbanisation and save human lives in traffic, as we take responsibility for creating a better and greener environment. The working environment is highly cross-functional are you can expect contact with colleagues across research and development focussed activities during your work.
