hela Sverige We are now looking for a Senior Modelling and Simultation Specialist for a consultant assignment positioned at AstraZeneca in Mölndal. The assignment is to start February 2015 and proceed until December 2015.

As an Associate Principal Scientist - Modelling and Simulation Specialist your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
• A degree-level education (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline
• A solid knowledge of the drug discovery development process
• Modelling and simulation experience in the areas of PK/PD, pharmacometrics, systems pharmacology, systems biology, or related areas
• An understanding of drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics
• An understanding of current principles and concepts in safety assessment
• Pharmaceutical industry knowledge
Your main responsibilities will involve:
• Optimising the design of toxicology studies and developing PK/PD models to enhance project decision-making
• Working to optimise the impact of modelling in efficacy and safety studies
• Evaluating and interpreting data to prepare for internal governance bodies
• Working in appropriate external forums to champion the use of modelling and simulations in toxicology settings
• Contributing to the development and implementation of new strategies for translational safety
