hela Sverige We are looking for a Senior Microwave Engineer for electronic warfare and radar applications. You will develop cutting edge technology in systems like the Gripen E and Robot 15. Welcome with your application!
Your role
We are facing challenges in several parallel projects within our business area and we need to further strengthen ourselves with a senior microwave engineer. You will be able to work with RF/microwave simulation, design, layout, measurement and verification, and documentation. The work may also include leading design or development teams within a project. Having an interest and experience in project management is a plus. Part of your time will be allocated for handling technical aspects of microwave modules used in our portfolio.

Your profile
We are looking for someone who has a M. Sc. or Ph. D. with at least five years of work experience within microwave design and development, from system level specification to specific board design. This includes work on passive and active circuits, filter design, antenna design, microwave modules, prototype development, test and measurement technology, documentation and requirement specifications.
Knowledge in the following fields is meriting:
• EW system, Radar system
• Ultra wideband microwave technology (up to 40+ GHz)
• Filter design, amplifier design
• RFIC/MMIC design, package design
• Tools: AWR Microwave Office/VSS, Mentor Graphics, CST Microwave Studio, Ansoft HFSS
As much of the work is done in teams, it is important that you enjoy working with others and that you are comfortable in asking and communicating in a prestigious free manner. You should also have a good ability to independently drive your own work and take your own initiative when required. You are analytical and enjoy working with a holistic view without losing control of the details.
The work is relatively free in its structure, which is why it is important that you are good at planning, prioritizing and structuring. As a person, you should take responsibility and work in a collaborative way. You will be communicating with various instances and functions within and outside the company.
This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.
What you will be a part of
Within Business Area Surveillance, we work with airborne, land-based and marine radar systems, systems for signal intelligence and self-protection, command and control systems and systems for maritime and air traffic management. We offer effective solutions for surveillance and decision support and systems for detecting and protecting against various types of threats. You will be part of the Microwave & Antennas section of the EW Systems Business Unit.
EW Systems is responsible for systems for electronic warfare such as jammers, radar warners, countermeasures and signal intelligence. The Microwave & Antennas section is responsible for RF system design, microwave design, antenna design and EMC investigations.
With us you will be part of the development of Gripen E and other exciting development projects.
