As a Senior Mechanical HW Design Engineer Electric Drives you will work with requirements from System Designers deliver Design Prerequisites, Technical Regulations, Contractual Elements and Compliance Agreements with suppliers.
What you'll do
Your main focus will be requirement engineering with elements such as performance, efficiency, EMC, electrical, mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, service requirements. You will also be responsible for component geometry and quality Assurance disciplines such as FMEAs, Robust Engineering. You will also:
* Participate in test activities and follow up on supplier verification
* Lead Technical Design reviews, internal and supplier joint reviews
* Do cost engineering and benchmarking
* Report status and progress
You and your skills
To be succesfull in this role we beleive you need to have a university degree within Mechanical Engineering or relevant work experience. If you have previous work experience at Volvo Cars we consider it to be meritorious.
Requirements
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Driver's license B
