Responsibilities:
• Responsible for designing the indoor chassis for Core Network products, with consideration for thermals, acoustics, power, EMI, electro-mechanical reliability, etc.
• Focus on providing solutions to key mechanical issues including usability, installation, UCD (User-Centred Design), etc.
• Additionally responsible for the improvement of manufacture and reducing cost.
Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor+ degree on mechanical engineering.
• 7+ years work experience on mechanical development in telecom equipment, 3+ years work experience with integrated system design, including power, mechanical, thermal, and environmental.
• Familiar with Pro/E or alternative 3D CAD system.
• Experience with chassis and cabinet design, any ATCA or CPCI mechanical design experience would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of heat dissipation, acoustic noise, power, and environmental testing.
• Familiar with applicable industry codes & standards (IEC, ETS, NEBS, PIGMG3.X )
• Familiar with mechanical manufacturing technology.
Additional skills required:
• Fluent English (written & verbal).
• Strong analytical skills & a systematic design methodology.
• Excellent communications and presentation skills.
• Experience with working in a multi-national, cross-functional, and multi-cultural teams.
• Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and flexible in handling a diverse and challenging workload
