The group is tasked with development and adaptations of the technical solutions on suspension, steering, brakes, pneumatics and engine suspension for Volvo Buses. The responsibility is global and hence we cooperate with our sites in India, Poland, Mexico and Brazil as well as with our Volvo owned brands Prevost and Nova. Being part of the Volvo group also means we share a lot of technology, knowledge and strategies with our colleagues on the other business entities within the group.

Main area of responsibility
You will be a part of the Vehicle Dynamics & Pneumatics Group within the Chassis and Driveline department. You will be Senior Design Engineer for Brakes and you'll work in close cooperation with System Owner, team engineers, suppliers and Volvo Group Trucks Technology and other areas of the Vehicle Dynamics and Pneumatic group. The role includes varying tasks with focus on the Brake design area from system requirement specifications to detailed design. You will work in various engineering projects and be involved in all phases of the product development process. Ensuring high standards, the role requires good networking ability and close contact with our stakeholders.
The overall responsibility of the group is to secure quality for various vehicle dynamics features and brake performance in bus products. Scope of this assignment covers particular regard for vehicle geometry, cost and quality, as well as related requirements and features. The position will entail occasional travel, so a team player spirit is essential and you'll need topnotch communication skills.

Who are you?
As a part of our group we see that you are a team player with excellent communication and cooperation skills. Since you have substantial design engineering knowledge, you will have the ability and interest to technically drive the Brakes system design. We expect you to have a strong analytical side, problemsolving skills and a passion for technology. You are a positive person who display driving force and structured work solutions. To be successful in this position you need to be a team player. If you are a person who have the drive and ability to take responsibility for deliveries in project you are a perfect match for us.
Qualifications
You're an experienced design engineer, working within the automotive industry or similar, with particular skills in product development
Skills within brakes will be especially valued
You have solid knowledge of Volvo systems and processes
You have good knowledge in CAD preferably Catia V5
Since you will be working with complete bus features, a driver's license for buses is an advantage
